Evaluation of Settlement Relocation Due to the 2018 Palu Earthquake

Abstract The earthquake followed by the Tsunami and Liquefaction in Palu City, Donggala Regency Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province on Friday, September 28, 2018 with a magnitude of 7.4 Richter Scale has resulted hundreds people missing, more than two thousands injured dying. BNPB informed that there was quite lot physical damage to facilities infrastructure, including several houses public residential locations. steps taken response incident were relocation settlements disaster-affected areas, one which Sidera Transmigration settlement area. This article aims analyze evaluate settlements, especially method used is thematic mapping factors determine land suitability for spatial analysis using map overlay techniques complemented quantitative descriptive analysis. results evaluation indicate transmigration area as disaster victims appropriate meets requirements living, feasible business, suitable development, environmental friendly.
